INTRODUCTION
It is with great pride and pleasure that we (re-)introduce the Anchor & Chain Factory (AKF).
For more than 75 years the name 'Anchor & Chain Factory (AKF)' was recognised in the market as a leading manufacturer of anchors and anchor chain cables.
After many years of manufacturing various anchor related components, it became apparent that 'manufacturing' was economically not feasible anymore. At which point, AKF began to focus on 'trading' anchors and chains.
AKF still retained the experience of 'manufacturing' in house. This experience enables AKF to carry out repairs and modifications
responsibly and with all the required qualifications
.
AKF is further able to manufacture/produce and deliver special links and/or heavy duty lifting gear fully in accordance with client requirements.
AKF is currently busy expanding the stock of marine anchors with the HPP type - next to the well known Spek, Hall and AC14 types. The storage area around the workshop has also been expanded to accommodate the increasing stock of chains.
The workshop itself has also been doubled in area and capacity to meet the increasing demands from our customers.
AKF's testing department is currently running at full speed. The ever increasing demands for more pulling force have led us to engineer a new test bench.
A new modern location on the premises of Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam, new ambitions and goals, and the commitment to serve our Client - we urge you to take advantage.
